  2024年5月19日是第三十四次全国助残日。残疾人是“特殊困难的群体”,残疾人事业被喻为“春天的事业”。在习近平总书记心中,残疾人应与健全人一样充分享受经济社会发展带来的成果,在同一片蓝天下幸福生活。一句句深情话语、一次次亲切鼓励,传递着春风拂面般的温暖;一个个暖心举动、一项项帮扶举措,恰似绵绵春雨,让广大残疾人心田滋润、满怀希望。

  黄道亮年幼时在一次事故中失去双臂。1990年是他第三次参加高考,这一年他被时任福州市委书记习近平同志兼任校长的闽江职业大学破格录取了,成为福建省第一个无双臂的大学生。毕业后他一直在闽清县残联工作,帮助残疾人获得就业、教育、医疗康复的机会,给更多残疾人带去温暖。

  2014年春节前夕,习近平总书记来到内蒙古自治区呼和浩特市儿童福利院,看望住在这里的孩子。聋哑女孩王雅妮正是其中一个。总书记鼓励王雅妮好好学习、学业有成,这让王雅妮有了坚持学习的不竭动力。如今,走上讲台的王雅妮,开始帮助更多残疾孩子改变命运。

  2020年9月,习近平总书记在湖南长沙主持召开基层代表座谈会。会上,杨淑亭作为残疾人创业者代表发言,提出了完善残疾人服务保障体系等建议。近年来,杨淑亭看到家乡的无障碍设施得到了很好的改善,比如广场、公园等公共场所都增加了无障碍通道,她感到非常幸福和欣慰。
